Problems With Society

Sometimes, if you take a step back from the world, you can start to notice the flaws we have as humans. One of the main flaws I’m noticing at the minute is that people just don’t take the time to talk to each other. The most basic thing humans can do, and we don’t do it. We’ve become a world of meaningless words. The things that people actually say, don’t really matter deep down. And the words that are left unsaid mean more than anyone shall ever know. People can see someone everyday and never really know what’s going on in their lives, even to the point where they spend everyday sleeping in the same bed.

There’s been a lot of loss in the world around me lately, and it makes me wonder whether just taking the time to talk about things that actually matter…could have prevented these outcomes to some extent. Of course not everything can be resolved from opening up to someone, but you never know. Technology is a big thing in our day and age, and it kind of works as a way to fill the gaps between human encounters, to the point where it can block them from actually happening all together. To be quite honest, it’s shit and even that is slightly sugar-coating it.

I don’t really know where I’m going with this post. I guess what I’m really trying to do is get whoever’s reading this to take time out of their day to really talk to someone who they’re close to or they care about, and try to get past the bullshit of the facade that they are trying to hide behind. Although not everyone likes to admit it or complain about it, they all have something going on behind the scenes…or if your on the flip side of it, just open up to someone about how your really feeling…who knows, you might actually get a positive outcome…

#TwitterProblems

Ok let’s rewind a second. So…Twitter was created in 2006 (a long time ago right), however saying this…it wasn’t until 2012 it actually started to become extremely popular. Now we’ve just headed into 2016, and me a 22 year old woman, still doesn’t really understand it.

I mean of course I get the basic’s like how to post, how to follow people, retweet and favourite. BUT what I don’t understand is how I actually use it and only have 112 followers. But then on the other hand, there’s my sister who doesn’t post anything and has 851 followers…I mean how? How does that happen? I just don’t understand the logic behind how it works…anyway I’ll keep trying. Social media just confuses me sometimes…

Small Changes…

Although I said I wouldn’t be creating a list of new years resolutions, there is a couple of small things I’d like to try to do this year. I won’t class them as resolutions as they will just be on going improvements. Anyway here goes…

  1. Wear heels more – as a small girl I will always need more height, and what better way to solve this than with fancy shoes or boots! Also they of course add to the sex appeal…not.
  2. Not be on my phone as much – in today’s world we as a whole are anti social or ‘zombie-like’ if you will. So I think this is a good way to begin reconnecting with the world again.
  3. Go out more – I’ve never really been a drinker, but I’ve come to the realisation that I’m only young once. Also as the years go on my body won’t react as well with alcohol as it does when your younger…or so I’ve heard.
  4. Sing – I love to sing! Let it be known not very well, but what’s that to stop me. Confidence can pull off anything. Well almost everything.
  5. Save money! – Travelling isn’t cheap, and seen as it’s one of the things I want to do this year…I really need to save money.
  6. Try and find the perfect foundation – this is a constant battle. I hate spending money on something that never matches. They either dry my face out or turn me into a Oompa Loompa and that’s just not a good look!
  7. Use my camera more! – I love taking photos, I even took the time to set up a Facebook page for it…but I just don’t take enough photos. So from now on I’m going to just go on random walks every so often, plus it means I get to see the hidden areas of lovely Yorkshire!
  8. Listen to more music – I like a bit of everything when it comes to music, but it’s quite rare I just put my iPod on anymore. To add to this I’m also going to try to keep up to date with new music because I always seem to be a hundred years behind everyone else and never know new bands names.
  9. Let go – I try not to do this a lot but there just certain things I can’t seem to let go of, so its time. As Elsa says “let it go”
  10. Don’t over think! – This is just a constant battle as a girl. For some reason we all just seem to have a tendency to think way to far into everything so this year, I’m going to aim to just roll with everything and not think as much…we’ll see how that pans out.

LETS DO IT!

IOS9

Ok so like many others, I am indeed an apple user. And seen as I haven’t been living under a rock I knew that there was an update due yesterday, but this wasn’t the exciting part. The exciting part for me was the emojis. I am an over active emoji user😁💀😂😏💩… so to learn new emojis were on the way was brilliant! Until of course I did the update…and they were nowhere to be seen. 😓

Now I probably missed the memo but I read nowhere and I repeat nowhere that the new emojis wouldn’t be included 😐 not cool Apple! Not cool! 😑 Because of this I went googling to find out why this was.

The answer: these new emojis will actually be included in the next update which is expected in November.

How disappointing! I mean overall I am happy with the layout and changes that come with the update but still…it was a sad day for Apple users everywhere yesterday. 👷🏽
