Thing’s No One Has Time For! 😓

As a constant user of many social media platforms, it becomes very apparent when a problem occurs with it or if something just isn’t worth the hassel…so here’s a list of five things that I find wrong with social media.

  1. Blowing things out of proportion: this is a pretty obvious one that happens daily. Whether it’s something ridiculous like a celebrity relationship, or just general media. Somehow, someone somewhere creates it into something it’s not…when really that time could be spent evaluating real hard-hitting news.
  2. Links that bounce back up when trying to scroll: the amount of time I’ve spent trying to find out the tiniest bit of information. I mean it can’t just be me that gets annoyed with it and people must complain so why doubt they sort it out 😩.
  3. Links that give you one sentence of information over so many pages: I mean why? Just why? I could understand it for click purposes to track how many people go on your site but surely it gives you that information when you click on the link in the first place…
  4. Twitter fame: ok this is more personal. I really don’t understand how people who barely use the app get so many followers. It really confuses me…like how? Just how?
  5. Private profiles: now I get that most of the time private profiles are for safety…but some times people just want to be nosey. I mean for example when someone follows you on instagram and you want to see who’s followed and you can’t because theirs is private…I mean come on dude your stalking me let me stalk you back 😂.

Anywaayyy I’ll stop ranting now. I just get annoyed sometimes 😓.

My First Time in Majorca…

Ok so about a week ago my Instagram was insane! Not to blow my own trumpet, but I always think my instagram is better when I’m off travelling…A bit of a hint by the title but I went to Majorca/Mallorca for the first time (not sure why there’s two spellings)…anyway.

I’d been to the Balearic Island of Ibiza before and in many way this was very similar looks and personality wise, but on the flip side the holiday in general was different. The first reason why it was different was we went (me and my friend Georgina) all inclusive. ALL INCLUSIVE! Oh my. Saying it now even makes my mouth water. I mean sure there was alcohol of all varieties, wine, sangria, beer, vodka, rum. BUT I’m talking about the food! I love food…so the thought of being able to eat whatever I wanted however many times I wanted was just amazing. The three main foods for me just in that week were bread smothered in butter, grilled salmon, and of course Ice Cream! There were other foods of course with lots of variety ,so I didn’t waste the chance to try things I’d never tried before like Paella and lemon fish and even Muscles.  But the bread! I have no idea what the Spanish do but their bread is soooo good! Moving on…

The second thing that was different about this holiday was the company. Having only two people means that there’s less people to keep happy. Sure going in groups can be great and you can always split up, but there are a lot more people to keep happy lets be honest and you aren’t always going to want to do the same things. Another thing about it just being the two of us is that we are easy people to please in general, so it was nice to just have a relaxing holiday with nothing or no-one to worry about. Pure bliss…until I dragged Georgina shopping every so often. Sorry not sorry.

Now Majorca as an Island is a mixture of things. You have the nice quiet, relaxing area like where we stayed in Santa Ponça. You have the shopping, city side of it like in Palma, and then you have the Magaluf side, which you know each to their own but I wouldn’t like to stay their personally. We only saw this part for a few minutes, and I’m normally not one to judge but them few minutes going through Magaluf was enough (yes that rhymed…depending on how you say it). It wasn’t pretty put it that way. Palma on the other hand was a gorgeous city full of amazing architecture, art, entertainment and of course shops!

Getting around Majorca was easy too. Walking around there were lots to see and do in Santa Ponça, including DJ Rudy’s magical Bingo Bongo nights at the hotel, always a treat! But the buses were easy to get to too (once we found a bus stop) and cheap to get us to towns around Santa Ponça, it was €3.40 to get to Palma! Definitely worth the money, even if the bus driver was counting his money rather than keeping his eyes on the road all the time :/.

Overall the whole experience was brilliant for me, from the hotel to the whole Island I couldn’t fault it and I’d definitely go back again! I returned home feeling so relaxed and even refreshed…Until next time DJ Rudy!

#TwitterProblems

Ok let’s rewind a second. So…Twitter was created in 2006 (a long time ago right), however saying this…it wasn’t until 2012 it actually started to become extremely popular. Now we’ve just headed into 2016, and me a 22 year old woman, still doesn’t really understand it.

I mean of course I get the basic’s like how to post, how to follow people, retweet and favourite. BUT what I don’t understand is how I actually use it and only have 112 followers. But then on the other hand, there’s my sister who doesn’t post anything and has 851 followers…I mean how? How does that happen? I just don’t understand the logic behind how it works…anyway I’ll keep trying. Social media just confuses me sometimes…

Moving Onwards and Upwards

For a few months now I’ve been waiting for something to happen at work…a promotion. But in life, we don’t always get what we think we are going to get. In a way I’m angry about that. Not because I lost out on the opportunity, but because it held me back from doing other things that would have made me happier. By now if I had left this job when I had the chance, I could have probably already saved up some money I needed to go travelling. Which of course is annoying. Never the less, eventually we always end up on the road we belong on…That road for me is travelling, and creating.

In a way I’m glad this happened, because after all everything is a learning experience. I have more skills now then what I did. I had more time to think things over in terms of where I want to go. I also had more time to realise that I have other options that I didn’t even know existed. So there are ups and downs to the situation I’ve found myself in.

Anyway to kickstart my ‘new lease of life’ as I’m calling it. I have decided I am opening up my own horizons; and the first step of this is by claiming I am a photographer. Just to say I am being truthful when doing so…I know I said claiming but that’s just because I know I’m nowhere near as professional as those who are actual photographers. I’ve set up a new instagram page soley for this purpose, and also a Facebook page so I will leave links if anyone’s interested. That’s all for now 🙂 I just needed a little rant and a boost.

P.S I used to be just a man…now I am a man with a plan!

P.P.S (Just for clarification I am in fact a woman) 🙂
