Summer Goals!

Summer is here once again, and out of all the seasons July is my favourite…maybe because I was born in this month. So to kickstart it, I’ve made a list of my summer goals!

-Go out more! ~ I am slowing becoming more and more of a hermit crab and it really needs to stop, everyone says your 20’s are the years for living life to the full and to be honest…I’m wasting them.
– Drink more ~ For a normal 23 year old I don’t drink as half as much as I should…and for a single 23 year old It’s even worse…plus if your going to drink in any month it might swell be my birthday month!
– Take more chances (for example in love) ~ Ugh. That’s the only thing I can say. I just need to.
– Go on adventures ~ Walking, hiking, driving, flying, heck even some of my dreams could have more adventures.
– Try running again ~ I tried this a few weeks ago for the first time in years. It hurt a lot…but I just need to persevere.
– Finish my book ~ Due to my current obsession with Netflix it’s hard to make time for anything else…but I started a book so this month, I. Shall. Finish. It!
– Go to a spa ~ I still haven’t been to a spa yet and heck I deserve some pampering! So where better to do it?
– Be better with money ~ I have been in my overdraft for ages now, so I really need to sort my shit out…like pronto.
– Be reckless ~ I mean I feel like this is self explanatory after my other points…I mean you could even say this list is a bit reckless due to not making this 10 bullet points and only 9…๐Ÿ˜œ

Starting the gym…again

I am without doubt one of the laziest people in the world. If I can do anything…you’ll either find me asleep or eating. I hate working out…or really anything to do with exercise. I mean I’m sure I’d like it if I stuck to it and starting to see the results, but it’s just getting into it and keeping the motivation. Anyway regardless of that I’ve bit the bullet and joined the gym. So this is the start of my fitness journey. If I can even call it that!

My aim is really just to tone up, although I would like to lose a little bit of weight it isn’t a must in my mind. But after being a single for a year, you can start to get pretty comfortable with the lazy lifestyle that goes with the ‘comfy’ body. And to be completely honest I’m not just comfortable…I’m in love with being lazy.

Anyway just so I can attempt to stick to it, I’ve decided to write a list of areas I want to improve on and goals for working on them.

So my main aims is to go to the gym three times a week, spread out so I don’t overwork myself or damage myself like the last time I attempted weights ๐Ÿ˜‚ (told you I suck at working out). The main areas I want to focus on are my abs, arms, thighs and my butt…so basically nearly everywhere on my body.

It’s do-able if I stick to it, I just hate waiting so long for results. I’m very impatient when working out which is probably the worst way to be in the gym. But I guess if I’m going to make a good attempt at toning my body up, I might as well do it now…after all I have a lotย of free time!

Wish me luck! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

Career? What Career?

Career: An occupation undertaken for a significant period of a person’s life and with opportunities for progress…

When you reach a certain age, the question that people will begin to ask you is…so what do you want to do with your life? It seems that people expectย you to know this for definite by the time you leave college, and definitely by the end of university!

For me…this seems to have always been a problem. I’ve never been that bothered about a career. I obviously know I need to have one to earn money in order to survive. But I’ve just never been focused enoughย to find one I am really passionate about. Yeah I’m passionate about drama. Devising my own performance, even occasionally writing a script. But as many of us know that’s a difficult area to get into, with many different directions to go in. It just comes down to choosing.

I’ve worked in cafe’s since I was 16. I know a lot about coffee and working for Starbucks also expanded my knowledge on this. But every so often I think a change needs to be made. A change to try something new, experience something different. I think this may be a reason why I have never been thatย career focused. I always like a change. Which is all fair enough…until someone asks you what you want to do. Then you are just left with their confusion and shock of how you don’t know.

Someย people seem to have it all figured out, others think its okay to find your way later on. But they don’t seem to understand the frustration and need for me to be able to figure it out now. I know I won’t be able to and that all I can do is try. But to be perfectly honest…it sucks.
